Ebony Kirby-Hopkins
Ebony is UnLocal’s Human Resources Consultant and Bookkeeper. Ebony has been utilizing all voices to tell a story since she was born. Brought up in a family of many children with a multi-ethnic background, Ebony didn’t see the world in black and white and saw diversity everywhere she went in her neighborhood, but most especially at home. Ebony started working in back-office operations in many financial and non-profit institutions and found a love of all people and the ability to help all through HR initiatives. She has cultivated over 13 years of experience in Human Resources and Operations Management. Ebony serves on 5 Advocacy groups, mentorship programs and leaderships councils. She is a member of the Minority Technology Mentors Initiative, the New York Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs group as well as HR Think Tank NYC and the former co-chair for the NY Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (NYSHRM) Diversity Equity and Inclusion Special Interest Group. She also devotes 70 hours a month in local community-based outreach. She also helps her local community through business awareness meetups and webcasts exploring the resources open to small local businesses of color to grow and scale thereby upbuilding the community.
