Mariel Fernandez
Mariel is a paralegal on the Unlocal team, working on the Pro Se Plus Project. She has been a lifetime advocate for human rights. While earning her bachelors from New York University, Mariel held a volunteer position as a youth advocate, working with girls at risk in the juvenile justice system. She previously worked with victims of abuse, and with unaccompanied minors looking for relief in the United States. Following her passion of working with youth, Mariel most recently taught English as a second language to children in South Korea. She hopes to continue to develop her career in advocating for immigrant and human rights
