Julia Trencher
Julia worked with the immigrant community before law school for several years in the D.C. area at Amica Center for Immigrant Rights. There, she provided legal assistance to detained adults and children in removal proceedings. Her work with Amica led her to law school to better combat the systemic injustices of the U.S. immigration system. During law school, Julia interned with Make the Road NY representing individuals with removal orders, assisted immigrants in Mexico City in gaining legal status in Mexico, and represented an individual through the Prisoners Rights Clinic before the parole board. Julia is joining the team at UnLocal as an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow.
