DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with the High Line\, the Education and Outreach team is hosting a summer reading program titled\, Nuestros Libros. Nuestros Libros is a community-oriented project that uplifts and celebrates BIPOC stories of resilience\, prosperity\, and joy. \nThis project will invite several BIPOC authors to perform readings of their work in the form of a readathon across the High Line. The read-a-thon will highlight stories centered on the undocumented and migration experience to welcome recently arrived immigrants to New York and combat xenophobic narratives via reading circles. The reading circles will range in ages\, from toddlers to young adults. \nThis event will take place on July 27th\, 2024 from 10-1 p.m. on the High Line Park. \n
